I recently visited their Preston Showroom to check out five of their newest sofa ranges; Ambleside, Como, Cartmel, Oxford and Keswick. The staff were super helpful, offering a fountain of knowledge and I could have happily sat there all day with a brew in hand, sinking into all their gorgeous sofas like a warm hug!

What’s great about visiting the showrooms in person is that you have the opportunity to ‘try before you buy’, because we all know that everyone’s preferences are different when it comes to a sofa, whether you like a firm place to park your bottom or prefer something you can really sink into. It’s also great being able to see all the room sets, as they place their sofas into home settings so you can imagine how it would look in your living room, along with getting to feel and see all the stunning fabrics in person.

A closer look

The Cartmel loveseat was the first piece I tested on my visit to the store, and I could have happily stayed in that spot once I’d sat down.

It was presented in a gorgeous yellow velvet, but is available in a choice of woven mix, velvet or soft boucle fabrics.

It had a bold, contemporary shape, made to make a statement, whilst offering great support and comfort.

I love a bold colour in my home, so I was instantly drawn to this range and could imagine it adorned in patterned cushions and throws, or holding its own in a more minimal setting too.

Next up I headed to the Como range which is available in a chenille fabric with a selection of colours to choose from, and you can opt for a plain or contrast fabric on the sides to add interest.

The Como is a curvaceous sofa with high arms and back that’s perfect for relaxing and, with a choice of full back or pillow back options, you can really find the right fit for you.

The Keswick has a sleek design available in soft woven mix or luxurious velvet, ranging from graphite grey, to mustard yellow and navy blue, meaning this sofa can be customised to suit almost any interior style.

The piped edges and wooden feet give a stylish finish to the collection and sit great in spaces both big and small.

Then we have Ambleside, which really caught my attention with its gorgeous curves, range of fabrics and sleek silhouette.

It was a beautiful piece to sit on, offering support and comfort and the button detail on the back cushions gave great interest.

Finally, we have the Oxford, and what a show stopper this one is!

Available in a range of fabrics and colours, this timeless Chesterfield style will be the talking point of any room.
