Curved sofas have found themselves at the heart of many homes over the past few years, and this soft, inviting sofa trend doesn’t look like it’s slowing down any time soon. Whether it’s a 2 seater sofa for a smaller room, or a curved corner sofa that offers more space for the family to relax, we think this stunning sofa shape will be a hit in your home.

Curl into curves

Curved sofas are ideal for creating a cocooning, cosy feel every time you take your seat. It’s no surprise then, that one of our new sofa ranges, the Cocoon, is the perfect example of a curved sofa that looks good without compromising on comfort. This curvy, cloudlike range features deep, inviting seat cushions that blend into soft, inviting arm pads and back cushions, finished with intricate pintuck stitching for a contemporary look.

Whilst it shares curvaceous qualities, our Fitzrovia sofa presents a wholly different curved silhouette. Designed to channel the beauty of Hotel Chic style, it’s got carefully sculpted arms that blend straight lines and curved edges with ease, accented with intricate fluting down the back and seat cushions. It doesn’t sacrifice comfort for good looks though, with foam and soft Dacron fibre fillings in the seats, backs and arms that offer amazing comfort and support you won’t want to leave.

Ask the experts

We spoke to Gisela Lancaster, Head of Buying at Sofology, about the curved sofa trend that’s been so popular in recent years. For Gisela, when it comes to using curved sofas in your space, you should always bear in mind the accents and details that really bring the pieces to life, especially if you have a cosier living room: “Opting for styles with beautiful details, such as curves, buttons or fluting, will add character to a small space without overpowering your scheme.”

When asked if this curved trend is here to stay in 2024, Gisela’s outlook is bright, acknowledging that “beautifully curved sofas will remain popular, offering a cosseting and inviting look and feel. Designed to bring comfort and relaxation, organic gentle curves on sofa arms and backs offer a softer silhouette and a touch of sophistication to any living space.” The message is clear: if you’re looking for a sophisticated look and unique design, then a curved sofa might be the choice for you.

One size (doesn’t) fit all

Choosing the right sofa for your space isn’t all about looks. Practicality is important, which is why we offer a range of different sizes to suit almost any home. Our Nobu range features a stunning swivel chair that’s as eye-catching as it is cosy, with a beautiful bubbly shape that’s reminiscent of designs from eras gone by.

Our Marble Arch and Hygge ranges both offer sofa sizes guaranteed to have more than enough room for you to stretch out and relax, from 4 seaters through to loveseats. Got a larger than life family? The Cocoon and the Marble Arch both offer spacious corner configurations, which are ideal if your home is always welcoming loved ones for a brew and a catch up.

It doesn’t matter what size or style of curved sofa you’re looking for, we’re sure to have the right one ready and waiting to cuddle you morning, noon and night.
