Shot in a stunning location, we decided to really make the most of the incredible set and sunshine-filled scenery by choosing a few of our favourite Sofology sofas to take along with us. Creating a signature style with each range, we’ve put together a series of step by step ‘get the look’ articles (starting with the Odessy) to help you give your living room a cool new makeover. This week’s look features the Demure.
Aqua Shades
To create this sophisticated and modern take on relaxed living, keep your space simple, with touches of grey and navy that pair with aqua accents for a look that’s cool but never cold.
The warm grey fabric of the Demure sofa provides a nice neutral base on which to build your look. Use the watercolour tones of the complimentary scatter cushions to create the palette for accents and accessories. Don’t be afraid to mix different patterns and textures to build up layers of interest without clutter – a patterned rug, a textured throw, a detailed wall canvas, can all ramp up the cosiness of your room.
Thoughtful accents
Achieving this look is all about quality over quantity. No matter the size of your space, a few well-chosen pieces of furniture will have much more impact than several thrown-together items. Let the colour scheme do the talking and keep the rest of the room almost minimalist in style. Mix angular shapes with softly curved items like shelving units and coffee tables. Choose furniture with open framework, tall set legs and narrow silhouettes to create a look that’s light and spacious.

We chose the Demure for its contemporary, simple style and cosy comfort. The chaise option gives you more space to stretch out, with low, angled armrests that create an open look. Angled, chrome feet brighten up the space and complement other reflective surfaces like an accent glass-topped coffee table. Place your sofa at the centre of the space and build the room around it for a calm and tranquil feel.

“Our Demure room set gives a sophisticated, modern take on relaxed living. We chose a tonal blue and grey scheme, made more contemporary with the addition of black accents and abstract art to add weight and intrigue. The soothing aqua shade is inspired by the idyllic setting of the coastal location.
Achieve the look by mixing sleek, black wood occasional furniture with contemporary abstract art, then layer a textured wall covering to add depth to the space. Add tactile woven textures through the rug, cushions and throws for a homely and on trend touch. Finish with sculptural organic ceramics in neutral tones.”
