To celebrate the launch of our new partnership with the Blue Cross pet charity, we invited some of their rescue dogs Diddy, Gypsy, and their dog pal Rosie to our Cheltenham store, to go off the leash and give their ‘fur-dict’ on our wide range of sofas.
All of our stores are dog friendly, and with our brand mission to help customers feel at home on a sofa they love, including our four legged friends, it was important that Diddy, Gypsy and Rosie got a chance to relax on our sofas. Our Cheltenham store was delighted to welcome them in and were on hand to show them round so they could decide which of our sofas got the ‘paws up’.
Through the partnership, we are committing to support Blue Cross through sales of our pet friendly sofa range. Blue Cross will benefit from a £5 donation from every order of our pet friendly fabric range over the course of the next year, which is expected to raise £15,000 for the charity.
Pets help us to relax – stroking them is proven to lower blood pressure, which is why so many of us welcome our pets onto the sofa so we can truly feel at home. That’s why, in addition to our existing range of dog sofas, we launched our pet friendly fabric that’s designed to be more resistant to pet claws than traditional upholstery. The innovative pet friendly fabric helps to prevent snagging, is easy to wipe pet hair from, and most household spills can be cleaned with just water which makes it perfect for the whole family to relax on.
Diddy, a 14 year-old lurcher, Gypsy, a 10 year-old saluki cross breed, and Rosie, a 10 year-old chocolate Labrador, put several sofas to the test in our store before settling on our Bakerloo range, which features our pet friendly fabric in teal. After a quick conversation with one of our expert Sofologists, they found this range was a paw-fect match. Watch this video to see the dogs in our store making their decisions.
