Have you ever curled up for the night in front of the TV and thought about the feet on your sofa and what impact they have on how cosy and comfortable you feel? Probably not…

Sofa feet are one of those things that you probably don’t spend much time thinking about. Surely as long as they match your decor, there’s not much more to consider – right? Well, if you’ve seen our new TV ad, you’ll know that we think the little things matter. Little things like fabric choice, and little things like solid wooden feet.

Every element of every sofa we create is carefully chosen and handcrafted because we know you’ll feel the difference – even if you don’t always realise it. Read on to learn about how beautiful solid wood feet can help you to feel at home on a sofa you love.

Intimate sofas that sit low to the floor

Sofa feet can come in all shapes and sizes. Whether you prefer the look of block, angled or rounded feet, this simple design element can have a big impact on the way your sofa sits in your living room. If you’re looking for an intimate and cosy feel for your space, choosing a sofa that sits low to the floor can achieve a really homely ambience. Ranges like the Farrow, Mazzini and the Hendrix, all feature beautiful solid wooden feet in a variety of shapes that are discrete, stylish and blend nicely if you have wooden flooring in your home.

Choose to be different

If you’re feeling adventurous and looking to achieve a more unique and bold style, then statement, hand turned feet are a great way to add a classic vintage look to your living room. Expertly sculpted by hand, this type of wooden foot becomes a real design feature of each sofa. A testament to the level of craftsmanship dedicated to every range we design and create, these intricately shaped feet add true sophistication and elegant style. Find exquisite hand turned feet on luxurious ranges like the Maya, the Persia and the Liberte.

Make your room look open and clean

Is your room a little on the smaller side? Choosing a sofa with high set feet is a clever way to create the illusion of space. Tall wooden feet raise the body of the sofa off the floor, making it seem like it’s filling up less of the room so the whole place will feel bigger and more open.

An added bonus of this style of feet is that all the space underneath makes cleaning really easy – vacuum under the sofa without having to move your furniture each time. The Roberto, Levato and Valentino all feature beautiful wooden, high set feet, but they vary greatly in design, featuring an array of colours and thicknesses.

Find the perfect match

This may sound obvious, but there are several shades of wood – so it’s understandable that you’d want to make sure the wooden feet of your sofa match the other shades of wood in your living room. Whether it’s wooden floors, shelves or a TV cabinet, you’ll want your sofa to blend in perfectly. That’s why we offer a choice of shades on many of our ranges with wooden feet – see the Canterbury or Salisbury for examples of ranges with different colour options.

Choosing the sofa to fit the space

It can be easy to forget the importance of feet when considering which sofa is best for your home. But regardless of the shape and height of your sofa, you can use the feet to your advantage if you’re planning on renovating your living space. If you know you’re looking for a more homely feel, why not browse for a sofa that sits low to the floor so you can create a feeling of intimacy and cosiness in your home; with a smaller room or for a minimalist design, high set feet are a great idea to increase the feeling of space.

We take the time to consider all the little things because we know you’ll feel the difference. Wooden feet are just one of the thoughtful details that make coming home feel special – have you read our article about how fabric choice can make a big impact?

Hi Scareltt, Can you supply replacement feet for my Laurence 3+1 sofa that have been damaged when the furniture removal guys moved my sofa to my new house. Either the dark wood ones or the stainless steel ones would be great, thanks

          Hi Gareth,

We can certainly help with this, you would need to speak with our Customer Services team to log the issue and they can then send new feet out. If you give them a call on 03444 818181 and follow the options through.

          Many thanks

Hi, is it possible to tell us the dimensions of the feet for the Cricket sofa? We’re trying to work out whether our doors are large enough for the sofa to fit through without the feet attached. Thanks.

Hi there, Am I able to order additional feet for a Bakerloo 3 seater chaise? Can you confirm dimensions of the feet and whether they are screw in?
